Associate Scientist and Senior Scientist, PK/PD

Scientists create pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) models and conduct simulations of disease, drug action, and (pre)clinical studies.

Associate and Senior Scientists are responsible for:

  • Developing PK/PD or similar mathematical models and simulations of disease, drug action, and clinical trials essential for our clients to streamline their drug development programs;
  • Defining key issues, analyzing data, interpreting and presenting results, and developing associated regulatory reports; and
  • Leading projects, assisting with client relationship management, and participating in Rosa's business management, depending on the candidate’s experience and professional goals.

The ideal Associate or Senior Scientist candidate will have:

  • A post-graduate degree in clinical pharmacology, medicine, pharmacometrics, statistics, bioengineering, or a related quantitative field;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience in areas such as mathematical modeling and simulation, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, or population PK/PD;
  • Proficiency with industry-standard pharmacometric/statistical software tools, for example, WinNonlin, NONMEM, Monolix, or S-PLUS;
  • Demonstrated ability to address complex drug development problems with incisive modeling approaches; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative Rosa-client project team.
